“Weird” dogs prove that beauty comes from within

Phoenix does not look like your ordinary dog, but it is not important to him. He is no different from other cubs, but sadly, many people do not take it for granted. His appearance often scares people and makes them look away. But he is just a cute dog, hope someone can love him and understand him. His appearance will not make him flinch. Therefore, he is ready to show the world that he is truly an incredible dog.

This poor dog has been homeless for at least a year. Sadly, people often see him looking for food, but once they look at his face, they keep walking. No one will give him a chance, just because he doesn’t look like they used to. Too many times he was called “weird” and “horror”. But now, many people think he is beautiful, they are absolutely right!

Phoenix was saved!

Oklahoma’s Skiatook paw and paw animal rescue operations immediately fell in love with Phoenix. The person who found him finally called rescuers for help. When the staff learned about the unique appearance of Phoenix, they thought twice. They are determined to save him.

When rescuers discovered Phoenix, they could say that he had belonged to someone in the past. Unfortunately, this may mean that his former family failed to take care of him, and this is what he ended up with.

“He was skin and bones. You could see all his ribs,” said Carisa Ducharne with Skiatook Paws & Claws. “[He was] just so inflamed that he couldn’t close his eyes. He had so much swelling and inflammation in his face.”

Rescuers don’t know why Phoenix looks like him. When they found him, he was not afraid of humans at all. If so, he is really a happy dog. His tail kept shaking, and he always wanted to play and be loved. Obviously, anything that happened to him would not affect his loving nature.

Skiatook Paws & Claws regularly releases the latest information about the incredible journey of Phoenix. He won a lot of love, and many people donated medical expenses.

He’s Improving Every Day

Family Animal Medicine is committed to providing the greatest help to Phoenix. They have discovered that he is likely to have an autoimmune disease, but they are not sure which one. His performance is much better now than when he arrived.

“He’s done nothing but improve every single day,” said Ducharne. “I wouldn’t say this is intentional trauma, but neglect is also abuse, and he was without a doubt neglected.”

Many dog lovers have reached out to get more information about Phoenix. Several people even expressed interest in adopting him.

The rescue made many people welcome the Phoenix home, which is really exciting. However, they published an article explaining that if Phoenix is adopted, it may not last long. They want to make sure he is completely healthy before going to his home forever.

Phoenix is happy to see so many people willing to support him. Employees are making every effort to make their lives as comfortable and exciting as possible. Sure enough, he seemed very happy! After a hard life, Phoenix can finally prove that true beauty comes from within.

If you are interested in donating to help Phoenix and other dogs in need, please immediately cooperate with Skiatook Paw and Paw Animal Rescue Organization to make a difference for today!
